Catherine Zeta-Jones has been tipped to star in Broadway show A Little Night Music.
The actress, who won an Oscar for her role in the 2002 movie version of Chicago, will play one of the lead characters, Desiree.
It’s thought Catherine, 39, received a personal invite over the phone from director Stephen Sondheim.
But production spokesperson Heath Schwartz has played down the reports.
'It is still a rumour at this point,' he tells Access Hollywood. 'No casting for the musical revival has been confirmed.’
Murder, She Wrote legend Angela Lansbury is likely to play Desiree's mum Madame Armfeldt.
