Harry Potter star had to balance on a broomstick

Daniel Radcliffe says filming Quidditch scenes for the latest Harry Potter movie left him with a sore crotch.
The actor had to sit on a broom for long periods of time for the action scenes.
‘Basically it’s no amazing secret, other than for a man if you imagine sitting on a bicycle and taking your feet off the pedals and off the ground and just hanging there and leaning forward,’ says Dan, 19.
‘And with all the repercussions that has… then you get an idea. Balance is very difficult and also very, very important organs are crushed. And so the comfort levels are not high.’
Co-star Rupert Grint, 20, who plays Ron Weasley, didn’t enjoy shooting the scenes either.
‘I’ve always fancied having a go on the broom,’ he tells ITV show Harry Potter: Behind The Magic.
‘But it was a bit of an anti-climax when I first sat down. It’s quite painful because you’re sitting on a broom and when you’re up there for a few hours it does get quite painful.’
