But actor learned to stand up for himself
Sunday, 12 July 2009
Daniel Radcliffe had a rough time at school.
The Harry Potter star, 19, was bullied by classmates, who were jealous of his fame.
‘I wasn’t the most popular kid because they wanted to give me a lot of crap and I wasn’t willing to take it,’ he says.
But Daniel, who was even punched in the face by a 19-year-old student when he was just 14, learned to stand his ground.
‘Because I’d been on set with some really genuine witty people over the last few years, I could turn round to these idiots and try and tear them apart,’ he tells Esquire.
‘I’m not saying I was Oscar Wilde at 14, but I had a line for anything they could throw at me.’
