Singer Katy Perry and Travie McCoy called it quits over Christmas

Katy Perry is trying to stay positive following her split from Travie McCoy.

The singer and the Gym Class Heroes star, 27, broke up over Christmas.

‘It hurts right now,’ she said during an acoustic performance at the Hotel Café in LA. ‘When you break up with someone you move on.

'You don’t want to move on but you have to because they don’t give you any choice. But I’m over it!’

Last week, Katy, 23, sparked rumours she’s dating again by stepping out with a long-haired hunk.
