The X Factor judge says couple are enjoying themselves

Simon Cowell is mentoring Eoghan Quigg in The X Factor

X Factor contestants Eoghan Quigg and Diana Vickers have fallen for one another, according to judge Simon Cowell.

The pair have been snapped hugging on several occasions and the 16-year-old broke down in tears on Saturday when Di, 17, was voted off the show.

Although they’ve denied rumours of a romance, Simon, 49, thinks they have feelings for each other.

‘They are just 2 young kids in love,' he said at The X Factor final press conference.

'They are young and enjoying themselves. Why not?’

Diana’s student boyfriend Chris Jones is thought to have finished with her because of her friendship with Eoghan.
