Angelina Jolie: Breastfeeding twins is hard

Actress struggled to nurse them both at the same time

Angelina Jolie has four-month-old twins Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline

Angelina Jolie stopped breastfeeding her twins when they were 12 weeks old.

The actress, who had Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline in July, found it difficult to feed them both at the same time.

‘It's very hard,’ she admits. 'I stopped at three months, [it was] about as much as I could do.

'There's this football hold – it's a lot harder than it looks in the books. I did that a few times.

'I would take turns. It just takes a long time.’

Ange, 33, and partner Brad Pitt, 44, conceived the twins when she was shooting The Changeling last year.

‘We decided to start trying in the beginning,’ she tells GMTV. ‘And by the end I was.’

The couple already have daughter Shiloh, 2, and adopted kids Maddox, 7, Pax, 4, and Zahara, 3.
