High School Musical star won't be stripping naked on Broadway

Zac Efron has denied rumours that he was asked to take over Daniel Radcliffe's role in the Broadway production of Equus.
‘I think it’s a great role,’ the High School Musical 3 star says. ‘But I was not approached.’
Instead, Zac says he plans to stick with filmmaking for now - but he'd like a break from musicals.
‘I think it’s important to diversify, change it up and play different characters,’ says Zac. ‘I think doing musicals all the time would get stale.’
However, High School Musical director Kenny Ortega hopes to sign Zac, 20, for the remake of 80s film Footloose.
‘I would love nothing more than to do another project with Zac,’ he says.
