Gordon Ramsay has been turned into a character for The Beano.
But the chef will be referred to as Ramsay Gordon because publishers DC Thompson didn’t get permission to use his likeness in the comic.
‘There’s no denying who it’s meant to be,’ a Beano spokeswoman tells the Daily Record. ‘But we didn’t ask him if we could use his image and it was easier this way so we didn’t offend him.’
In the strip Gordon, 41, is seen rebuking a dinner lady for serving dodgy food in a canteen.
