The Harry Potter star says he likes wearing make-up
Wednesday, 3 September 2008
Daniel Radcliffe has revealed that he wants to cast off his squeaky-clean image by playing a cross-dresser.
‘I think part of me would love to play a drag queen,’ he says. ‘It would be an excuse to wear loads of eye make-up.’
But the Harry Potter star, 19, who has recreated David Bowie’s famous pose from the 1977 film The Man Who Fell To Earth for a new photo shoot, says he’s not a very outrageous person.
‘I don't pretend to do anything particularly wild,’ he tells Details. ‘People talk about rebellion and they say: “Where is the teenage angst?” But I say I try to do it by the choices I make in the work I do.
'I just like wrong-footing people. I write poetry and I love it. I like being different from most other people of my generation.’
