Zac Efron to star in Hairspray 2

High School Musical star set to sign up for sequel with John Travolta

Zac Efron could be back on cinema screens in his role as Link Larkin in the sequel to Hairspray.

Creator John Waters is working on the follow-up to 2007’s big-screen adaptation of the Broadway hit and High School Musical star Zac, 20, is keen to be involved.

Producers are also hoping to reunite the rest of the cast, including John Travolta, 54, Michelle Pfeiffer, 50, and Queen Latifah, 38.

Zac's new film High School Musical 3: Senior Year is out on 24 October.

i believe that zac is a good actress but also a good singer but in hairspray 2 getting in love with a fatty is not a good idea.

well i don't know about you's but i think its a wonderful idea he falls in love with the big girl in hairspray because it tells us that no matter how you look you can achieve your dream and she did!
