Actor Ricky Whittle reveals how his character turns from good cop to bad

Ricky Whittle starred in Dream Team before moving to Hollyoaks

Hollyoaks’ Ricky Whittle is set to play his toughest scenes yet as his character turns violent.

Police officer Calvin Valentine murders drug dealer Nige (played by Sam Townsend), who's been supplying heroin to his addict sister Sasha (Nathalie Emmanuel, 19).

‘Calvin’s going to go through a bad stage and starts losing his marbles,’ Ricky, 26, tells The Daily Star

‘He’s had to look after the family since his mum died, his sister’s hooked on heroin and it’s all getting too much. He was always going to buckle at some point.’

He is also being blackmailed by Chester's resident gangster Warren Fox (Jamie Lomas, 27).

‘Things will start snowballing and Calvin turns dark,’ Ricky says. 'I'm so excited about this change in him. Finally I can play the bad boy. It’s going to be awesome.’
