Talent show contestant to appear in Queen musical

I'd Do Anything's Rachel Tucker will play Meat

I'd Do Anything's Rachel Tucker has landed a starring role in West End musical We Will Rock You.

The Irish actress, who competed for the part of Nancy in Oliver! on the BBC programme, will play sassy rebel Meat.

She will join the cast of Queen and Ben Elton's hit show at London's Dominion Theatre on 22 September.

‘It is a dream part,’ she tells Now Online. ‘We Will Rock You is one of my favourite shows.

'I first saw it when I was a student at the Royal Academy and loved it.

'I am beside myself with excitement. I just can’t believe it.’

Rachel, 27, was eliminated from I’d Do Anything at the semi-final stage.
