Wednesday, 18 June 2008
George Sampson is to appear in a promo for the song that helped him win Britain’s Got Talent.
The breakdancer, 14, stole the nation’s hearts with his routine set to Mint Royale’s remix of Singin' In The Rain.
And now Simon Cowell’s SyCo Music label is to release a video to capitalise on George’s success.
‘The fans are impossible to ignore — the interest in George is through the roof and fans are desperate for more,’ a source tells The Sun.
‘George has already got big ideas for the video and bosses think some are great.’
Mint Royale are currently No1 in the charts with the track.
Meanwhile, it has been announced that Cyd Charisse, the Hollywood star who appeared in the 1952 film Singin' In The Rain with Gene Kelly, died last night following a heart attack.
The 86-year-old actress starred in dozens of musical in the 1940s and 1950s. One of her last appearances on screen was in an episode of Frasier.
