The High School Musical star has appendix removed

Zac Efron was rushed to hospital yesterday for an appendectomy.
The High School Musical star - who shot to fame playing Troy Bolton - was taken to Cedars-Sinal Medical Centre in Los Angeles.
'Zac had his appendix removed and is recuperating,' his rep tells People.com.
The teen heartthrob, 20, is currently filming comedy Seventeen with former Friends star Matthew Perry.
Zac has also signed up for a third and final instalment of the popular teen musical.
High School Musical 3: Senior Year is released in cinemas this October.
