High School Musical star regrets posing for naked pics

When nude photos of Vanessa Hudgens appeared on the internet late last summer, the High School Musical star didn't try to pretend someone had pasted her head onto a naked body.
She came clean and bravely admitted the sexy snaps were genuine.
The actress - who was on holiday in Australia when the story broke - says as soon she got back to the US 'it got kind of crazy'.
Vanessa issued a statement in September saying: 'I want to apologize to my fans, whose support and trust means the world to me.
'I am embarrassed over this situation and regret having ever taken these photos.'
Fortunately Vanessa's mum was very understanding about her daughter's embarrassment.
'I was just open with her,' says the 18-year-old, 'and she was just so cute. She was like, "Well, everyone can be naked if they want to."'
The scandal has died down but Vanessa still finds it difficult talking about the furore caused by her posing in her birthday suit.
'It was something that was meant to be private, and even though it isn't anymore, I'd still like to keep it as private as I can,' she tells Seventeen.
'It was very traumatic, and I am extremely upset it happened. I hope all my fans can learn from my mistake and make smart decisions.'
