Westlife: We don't miss Brian McFadden

Boyband reckon he made a mistake in leaving

Westlife

Boyband Westlife say they have no regrets about splitting from Brian McFadden, who jumped ship after 5 years in 2004.

'We don't miss Brian,' says Mark Feehily, 27. 'He was never going to be another Robbie Williams, because Robbie was unique.'

Within four months of Brian's departure, Westlife released the album Allow Us To Be Frank, a tribute to Frank Sinatra.

'That allowed us to regroup, come back and throw people off the scent,' Mark tells You magazine.

'We were never a manufactured band - and we were never a one hit wonder.'

And frontman Shane Filan, 28, reckons Brian, 27, made the 'wrong choice'.

'In my opinion, he is missing out to a certain degree,' Shane tells Now Online. 'There's no animosity. We said fair enough, we think it’s the wrong choice, but he's his own man.'
