SexyBack singer says he was unpopular because he didn’t play football

Shrek 3 actor Justin Timberlake admits he didn't fit in at school because he preferred music to sport.
‘I grew up in Tennessee where you either play football or you don't do anything at all,' he explains. 'I was a bit of a loner being interested in music.'
The former boyband member says his unusual passion made him unpopular and a target for bullies.
‘I was so not cool. It was football or die!' he recalls.
‘I would come to school, and was bit of an outcast but I wasn’t bullied too much, thank God.’
Now that he’s made it - and embodies everything it means to be uber-cool – JT’s got something to say to those bullies.
‘If I could say one thing to the kids who didn't think I was cool back then,' he smiles, 'it would be, “Eat it”.'
