Prince William and Kate Middleton looking to hire staff for their London home
The modest pair, who prefer to do their own shopping and cleaning at their Angelesy Cottage, are looking to hire a housekeeper, butler, valet and dresser for when they move into their Kensington Palace apartment.
A notice is reported to have gone up at Buckingham Palace asking staff to apply for the positions, and Kate, 29, plans to personally interview applicants.
‘The whole place is buzzing with excitement. Lots of people will want these prestigious jobs,’ says a source.
‘The Royals always like to promote existing staff rather than bring in people from outside.
‘This is a golden opportunity for someone to be in at the beginning of William and Kate‘s working and domestic lives.’
Particular emphasis is being put on finding an excellent dresser for Kate, who’s fast becoming the nation’s favourite fashion icon.
‘They will need to get on with the Duchess on a personal level and help her along the way, while not becoming too familiar,’ the source tells the Daily Mirror. ‘It’s quite a balancing act.’
