A clearly still angry Rihanna has talked about how upset she was when her beating from Chris Brown became public. She admitted she felt 'embarrassed' to have ever fallen in love with 'a person like that'.
Sources close to Rihanna say the 21-year-old is still 'struggling to cope' nine months after the vicious attack by ex-lover Brown which left her battered, bloody and bruised.
The Bajan singer spoke exclusively to American morning show host Diane Sawyer about the incident, which took place on 8 February, ahead of the Grammys in LA.
Rihanna revealed in the interview: 'I am strong. This happened to me. I didn't cause this, I didn't do it.
This happened to me and it could happen to anybody.'
Worried sources say the singer has 'completely changed' since the attack. 'Ri-Ri used to be the life and soul - always brimming with confidence' says a pal. 'A lot of that's gone now.
'She has a massive support network and everyone knows she's going to be OK, but I think it's like a grieving process.'
