Ryan Seacrest gets restraining order against 'stalker'

Ryan Seacrest has been granted a restraining order against a fan.

Chidi Benjamin Uzomah Jr, 25, was arrested on Friday on suspicion of stalking the American Idol host.

He was caught trying to enter the E! Entertainment building in LA - where Ryan works - while armed with a knife, according to court papers.
 
‘His aggressive and violent efforts to come into physical contact with me are extremely frightening to me,' Ryan wrote in a court statement.

‘They have jeopardised not only my personal safety but also the safety and wellbeing of those around me.'

Uzomah was already on parole for a separate incident involving Ryan, 34.

Last month, he pleaded guilty to carrying a switchblade knife, assault and battery in relation to an attack on the TV star's bodyguard.

A hearing to grant a three-year restraining order will be held on 17 November.
