Kelis has a baby boy

Milkshake singer names her son Knight Jones

Kelis filed for divorce from Nas in April

Kelis welcomed her first child on Wednesday.

The singer, who split from rapper Nas three months ago, gave birth at a New York hospital with her mum and sister by her side.

‘Kelis gave birth to Knight Jones on July 22nd around 9pm,’ a rep tells Access Hollywood. ‘Weighing a healthy 7.8lbs, the beautiful baby boy and his mother are doing wonderful.’

Kelis, 29, and Nas, 35, tied the knot in January 2005 after a two-year engagement.

Nas already has a 15-year-old daughter from a previous relationship.
