Singer knocked out during stage performance

Scott Bruton sang Frank Sinatra hits on The X Factor

The X Factor star Scott Bruton was rushed to hospital on Thursday after being hit by falling theatre scenery.

The singer, who was in the finals of the ITV show last year, was knocked out when the accident happened during a performance of Dreamboats And Petticoats.
 
Scott, 19, was carried off stage at the Malvern Theatre in Worcestershire for treatment before emergency services arrived.

‘A male was treated for a head injury,’ says a spokesman for the West Midlands Ambulance team. ‘He was drifting in and out of consciousness.’

Scott was kept overnight at the Worcestershire Royal Hospital.

‘The show was delayed by around 40 minutes and an understudy replaced Scott for the night and the next show,’ says a theatre spokesman.
