Prince: An angel told me my epilepsy was cured

Singer no longer has seizures

Prince once changed his name to a symbol

Prince has revealed that he had epilepsy as a child but is now cured.

‘I've never spoken about this before but I was born epileptic,’ says the singer. ‘I used to have seizures when I was younger.

‘My mother and father didn't know what to do or how to handle it but they did the best they could with what little they had.’

For a long time, Prince, 50, thought he overcame the illness with the help of divine intervention.

‘My mother told me one day I walked in to her and said, “Mum, I'm not going to be sick anymore”,’ he explains to US talk show host Tavis Smiley.

‘She said “Why?” and I said “Because an angel told me so.” Now, I don't remember saying it, that's just what she told me.’

Prince, real name Prince Rogers Nelson, is a devout Jehovah's Witness.
