Actress says she wants to focus on herself

Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson went public with their romance in May 2008

Lindsay Lohan has confirmed her split from Samantha Ronson.

The couple, who have been dating since 2008, are said to have ended things on Monday.

‘We are taking a brief break so I can focus on myself,’ Lindsay tells E! Online.

The break-up comes after Lindsay, 22, was reportedly banned from a Ronson family party on Friday.

And the locks are now said to have been changed on Sam's home, where Lindsay had been staying.
