Madonna is to adopt another child from Malawi, according to government officials in the African country.

The singer, 50, took in David Banda, 3, from an orphanage in 2006.

And it's thought she's flying to Malawi for a procedural hearing at the High Court on Monday.

‘We expect her over the weekend or earlier than that... but without a doubt she is coming before the end of this month,’ the official tells Reuters.

Madonna, who finalised adoption of David in 2008, has hinted that she plans to expand her family.

‘Many people - especially our Malawian friends - say that David should have a Malawian brother or sister,’ she recently told Malawian newspaper Nation. ‘It's something I have been considering.’

She is already mum to Rocco, 8, with ex-husband Guy Ritchie, 40, and Lourdes, 12, with Carlos Leon.

Madonna's spokeswoman Liz Rosenberg and her lawyer Alan Chinula declined to comment.
