Ne-Yo: Rihanna says she’s fine

Hip hop star has been praying for Umbrella singer

Ne-Yo has worked with both Rihanna and Chris Brown in the past

Ne-Yo has talked to Rihanna since her boyfriend Chris Brown was arrested for allegedly assaulting her.

‘She says she's fine. She didn't go into detail about what happened,' he says. 'I understand it's a painful situation; I didn't push.’

Ne-Yo, 29, plans to ask Chris, 19, who was charged with making criminal threats on 8 February, for his version of events. 

‘I won't say who was responsible. I won't pick no sides,’ he tells MTV News.

'I'm just saying it was wrong it had to happen like that, and I'm praying for the both of them.’

Meanwhile, US rapper Flo Rida, 29, has shelved the track he made with Chris.

‘I recorded a great song with Chris,’ he tells the Daily Mirror.

‘But I won't be releasing it now because of what's going on with him and Rihanna.’

Chris has expressed his regret over 'what transpired'.
