Backstreet Boy Howie Dorough to become a dad

Singer is looking forward to starting a family

Backstreet Boy Howie Dorough married Leigh in December 2007

Backstreet Boys star Howie Dorough and his wife Leigh are expecting a baby.

The couple, who have been together for eight years, are thrilled.

‘I know she's going to be a great mother,’ Howie reveals.

‘If she can take care of me, the biggest baby in the entire world, I think she's going to be okay with the little one coming along.’

Howie, 35, and Leigh, 34, conceived after just a month of trying.

‘Leigh surprised me with breakfast in bed,’ he tells People. ‘[I knew] something was up. I looked down and saw the pregnancy test strip [on the tray].

'The look on my face was like something from America's Funniest Home Videos. I thought, “Oh my god” Here we go! This is it!”’

Leigh is due to give birth in June.
