Lily Allen splits from Jay Jopling

Pals say the age gap was to blame

Lily Allen previously dated Chemical Brothers' Ed Simons

Lily Allen's relationship with Jay Jopling has come to an end.

The singer had a brief romance with the art dealer, 45, while on holiday on the Caribbean island of St Bart's earlier this month.

But insiders say they've decided to cool things off.

‘She’s upset. She loved being with Jay but there were a lot of hurdles in the way to it becoming a full-blown relationship, not least the age gap,’ a pal tells the Sunday Mirror.

‘Lily’s down, but now she’s just focussing on her upcoming tour to keep herself upbeat.’

Last week, Lily, 23, was spotted wearing a diamond ring on her wedding finger but her rep later denied she was engaged.
