Scarlett Johansson isn't worried about the dreaded musical sophomore slump.
The actress, who released her debut album Anywhere I Lay My Head in May, tells MTV News that she would look forward to returning to the studio.
"I would love to do another album," Johansson, 24, says. Her debut disc, comprising 10 Tom Waits covers and one original tune, "Song for Jo," received mixed reviews when it was released.
Next time out, the actress says she would like to focus on original material.
"I don't think I'd do covers, so it'd be a project that I have to dedicate myself to," she says. "I feel like that's something for the future."
Were she to cover another artist, however, Johansson says she would like to sing songs by the poet Leonard Cohen.
In addition to her music, Johansson, who has been in Norway to host the Nobel Peace Prize concert, has been busy behind the camera.
She recently starred in Woody Allen's Vicky Cristina Barcelona and will appear in The Spirit, due in theaters on Christmas Day.
