Jason Alexander expected to be released after seven days in the slammer

Britney Spears’ first husband Jason Alexander has been jailed for breaching the terms of his parole.

The 27-year-old was ordered to complete an alcohol education programme after being convicted of drink driving two years ago.

But when he failed to show up for his second appointment, a judge sentenced him to ten days in Pitchess Detention Center in California.

It is thought Jason may only serve seven days of his sentence because of overcrowding.

He married his childhood sweetheart Britney, 27, in 2004 in a quickie Las Vegas ceremony – but it was annulled after 55 hours.
