Pete Wentz: Ashlee Simpson pregnancy was an accident

But Fall Out Boy star is happy it happened

Pete Wentz has revealed he and wife Ashlee Simpson weren’t planning to start a family so quickly.

The Fall Out Boy musician and the singer had Bronx Mowgli last month.

But Pete, 29, admits they weren’t trying to conceive when they found out Ashlee, 24, was expecting.

‘It was a happy accident,’ he tells Details. ‘But I think that certain things happen for a reason in your life, and maybe it was time to put the wild child in a cage.

‘I realised I'd found my soul mate, and it made me want to be a better person.

'Now, with the baby, I want to be the best dad I can be.’
