Jodie Prenger, winner of I’d Do Anything, is set to open in the West End on 12 December as Nancy in Oliver!.
Jodie won over TV viewers, but her ex-fiancé Steve Greengrass, 41, reveals she has a darker side.
‘She’s ruthlessly ambitious,’ says the millionaire IT consultant, who met Jodie last January through online dating agency sugardaddie.com.
‘I was used by her. She told me to say we met at a salsa club because it sounded better.’
Steve was dumped by Jodie, 29, after she won the show, so it’s no surprise that he won’t be going to see her on stage.
He says: ‘She’d stop at nothing to get to the top. She even claimed that when she was on reality weight loss show Britain’s Biggest Loser she’d spoon sugar into her rivals’ orange juice so that she’d lose more weight than them.’
When it came to I’d Do Anything, Jodie tried a different tactic.
Steve says: ‘She was rattled that the other girls were slimmer than her, but John Barrowman told her: “Women voters love a bigger girl. If I were you I’d put weight on.”
'So she went to McDonald’s every weekend – yet she was meant to be an advocate of healthy eating.
‘She’d say that nothing was more important than winning. When she did win, Cameron Mackintosh and Andrew Lloyd Webber looked horrified. Jodie’s a great singer, but she’s no actress.’
