Kate Winslet says she was more than happy to pose naked for Vanity Fair.

The actress was sprawled on a fur rug in nothing but black stockings and high heels in a photoshoot for the mag.

And Kate, 33, jumped at the chance to be pictured by an acclaimed snapper. 

'I don't take these sort of offers lightly,’ she tells Spain's El Pais newspaper. ‘It's Steven Meisel, not any old photographer.

'It's like working with Stanley Kubrick. It was like filming a short film, the preparation and wardrobe.

'So when Steven said "now without the dress", it wasn't uncomfortable. Quite the opposite.'

Kate insists the pictures were her last opportunity to show off her body.

'I thought, at 33 I'm not going to have another chance,’ she adds.

‘As I get older I'm happier with my body, with my skin, with my imperfections. I'm happy to be imperfect.'
