Singer feels under intense pressure as new album is about to be launched

Britney's finding it hard to cope with being watched 24/7

Britney Spears still faces an uphill struggle to keep her inner demons at bay.

With her surprise performance on stage with Madonna last week and her upcoming appearance on The X Factor on the 29 November, the 26-year-old singer is under more pressure than ever.

‘Her problems are as real as they ever were,’ a source tells Now. ‘The only difference is, the more people see her as this comeback queen, the more pressure she feels.

‘Some days Britney believes her own hype, but on other days her world crashes down again.

'She still needs as much support for her mental and emotional issues as she did when she was shaving her head.

‘Britney came a long way over the summer, but in September she started binge eating, not showering, biting her nails, cleaning the bathroom constantly and crying for no reason again.'

Britney's new album Circus is released on 2 December, her 27th birthday.
