Christina Aguilera is a year older than Britney Spears

Christina Aguilera has rubbished rumours of a feud with Britney Spears.

The pair met when they both worked on Disney’s Mickey Mouse Club as kids, but the press has always been keen to paint them as rivals as they both rose to fame as singers.

Now Christina says everything has been blown out of proportion.

‘There have been so many stories about the 2 of us not getting on,’ she says. ‘We don’t keep closely in touch with one another, and it’s obvious how our lives have taken on 2 different directions.’

But Christina, 27, does sympathise with Britney, 26, following her recent troubles.

‘I don’t pass any judgement if what she does,’ she tells the Daily Mail. ‘I always wish her the best.’
