Heather Locklear charged with driving on prescription drugs

Medication could have impaired her handling of the vehicle

Heather Locklear was in Melrose Place

Heather Locklear was charged with driving under the influence of prescription medication yesterday.

The actress was arrested in California on 27 September after a member of the public noticed she was driving ‘erratically’.

When officers found her, Heather, 47, had parked her car on a freeway, resulting in one lane being blocked off.

Santa Barbara County Deputy District Attorney Lee Carter says the prescription drugs she took 'could have impaired her ability to safely drive a motor vehicle'.

In June, former Melrose Place star Heather checked into an Arizona rehab facility for depression.
