Ashlee Simpson is NOT in labour

Singer's rep says it's just speculation

Ashlee Simpson is yet to have her first baby, despite reports she's given birth. 

The singer and her husband Pete Wentz sparked rumours she'd gone into labour when Pete, 28, cancelled his appearance on a US chat show last week.

‘Due to breaking news and scheduling conflicts, I will not be appearing on Larry King Live tonight,’ Pete wrote on his official site.

‘Though I am a big fan of the show and look forward to appearing on it in the future.’

But Ashlee’s rep says the rumours are ‘pure fabrication.’

The 24-year-old is expected to deliver the baby any day now.
