Rapper Lil Wayne welcomes a son

Rapper is a father for the second time

Lil Wayne has a daughter and newborn son Dwayne Carter III

An even Lil-er Wayne has arrived.

Just four days after rapper Lil Wayne said his baby boy was imminent, son Dwayne Carter III was born Wednesday at Christ Hospital in Cincinnati, MTV reports.

The mother's identity was not released. This is the second child for the 26-year-old Wayne, who also has a daughter from a previous marriage.

On Saturday, the rapper made the surprise announcement at the BET Hip-Hop Awards, saying:

"I got a son about to be born any day now, so shout-out to him. Pray for me."
