OMG! Beyonce Knowles put on over 1st for movie role

Singer found it an enjoyable experience

Beyoncé Knowles is known for her curvier figure

Beyoncé Knowles piled on an extra stone to play Etta James in her new film Cadillac Records.

But the Destiny’s Child star, 26, says it was fantastic to be able to stuff her face.

‘I gained almost 15 lbs to play the role,’ she tells In Style. ‘It was way easier – and tastier – than having to lose so much weight for Dreamgirls.’

Beyoncé, who married rapper Jay-Z in April, also reveals that playing the soul singer inspired her new album.

‘I wasn’t mature enough or old enough, to do this type of album before,’ she says. ‘I didn’t have the guts.

‘This is a new chapter for me, I’m terrified, but excited. It’s like I’m a new woman.’

Beyoncé’s new album I Am is due out 18 November and Cadillac Records is released on 5 December.
