Will Young is in talks to appear as a special guest on The X Factor.
The 29-year-old singer rose to fame on Pop Idol in 2002, on which Simon Cowell was a judge.
The pair rowed on air when the music mogul, 49, labelled Will 'distinctly average'. But he went on to win, ahead of favourite Gareth Gates, 24.
Will, who has also criticised Louis Walsh in the past, is hoping to bury the hatchet by appearing on the ITV1 show to promote new album Let It Go.
‘Will doesn’t like Simon or Louis,’ a source tells The Sun. ‘However, it was
this kind of show that gave him his career [so] he’s not about to turn his
back on it.’
