Scarlett Johansson has revealed that she believes open relationships are more natural than monogamous ones.
The actress – who married actor Ryan Reynolds, 31, last Saturday – says she wouldn't want that for herself, but understands people who do.
'I'd never want to be in an open [relationship],' she says. 'But I don't think monogamy is a natural instinct for human beings.
'Monogamy can be hard work for some people. I don't think it applies to everyone and I don't think a lot of people can do it.'
Scarlett, 23, adds that details of her own sex life have been blown out of proportion by the media.
'I made a sarcastic comment to a journalist,' she tells The People. 'I said: "Apparently Benicio Del Toro and I had sex in an elevator." He printed it - but everyone took out the word "apparently".
'I don't like talking about my personal relationships - it always ends up kicking you in the face.'
Scarlett's is currently working on new film Vicky Cristina Barcelona, which is due out next year.
