DJ AM 'slid down wing' to escape plane crash

He remains in a critical condition in hospital

DJ AM dated Nicole Richie for two years

Nicole Richie’s ex-fiancé DJ AM survived a plane crash by scrambling out of an emergency exit and sliding down the wing.

The musician, real named Adam Goldstein, was flying out of South Carolina airport when the jet burst into flames on the runway, killing four people.

He and Blink 182 drummer Travis Barker, 32, were forced to flee the wreckage and suffered severe burns.

‘They slid down the wing on the right side of the plane,’ a police spokesman tells Xtra.

‘They were on fire and they tackled each other and put each other out.’

Adam, 35, remains in a critical condition in a Georgia hospital and Travis is still under observation.
