Vanessa Williams: Lindsay Lohan struggled with the long hours on Ugly Betty

But actress says she fitted in perfectly

Lindsay Lohan made a small cameo in the season 2 finale

Ugly Betty star Vanessa Williams has revealed that Lindsay Lohan found it difficult to cope with filming schedules.

Lindsay appears as a fast-food worker called Kimmie in the new series of the hit US programme.

But Vanessa, 45, who plays Wilhelmina Slater, says the 22-year-old found it a different experience from a movie set.

‘I think she was shocked by all the hours we work,’ she says. ‘In TV, with all the set-ups and characters we have, it’s not a cushy job.’

But Lindsay, 22, soon got into the routine.

‘I think she not only rose to the occasion but did a really good job,’ Vanessa tells US OK!. ‘She makes a great transition from Kimmie, who is working at Flushing Burger, to working for me at Mode.’

Season 3 of Ugly Betty starts in the States next week.
