Singer to stay at home with twin sons
Thursday, 4 September 2008
As a doting dad to his new twin boys, Ricky Martin is livin' la vida loca – but he wouldn't have it any other way, according to a friend.
"He is so thrilled with his twins that they consume most of his time," a source close to the singer tells PEOPLE. "He is a happy man."
The pop star is so busy raising his long awaited sons that he is delivering his best performance to date: A stay at home dad. "Ricky has no plans to tour at the moment," according to the source.
When the singer, 36, announced that he had become a father, his rep said that Martin planned to spend "the remainder of the year out of the public spotlight in order to spend time with his children."
The twins, whose names haven't been revealed, were delivered via gestational surrogacy last month. Martin told PEOPLE in 2005 that he would love to have his own children because he "genuinely likes kids."
He has proven that over and over with his generosity to many children’s charities around the world through his Ricky Martin
Foundation and other philanthropic organizations.
