Keira Knightley says she came close to getting her hair set on fire in The Duchess.
In one scene in the period drama, her character's wig goes up in flames.
It was shot using special effects, but Keira, 23, says she nearly had to do it for real.
‘Saul Dibb the director actually wanted to set the wig alight on my head,' she tells Metro.
'I was up for it, as long as there was a fire extinguisher nearby.
'But the insurers said they didn’t want their leading actress burning to death.’
Last night, Keira wore a shoulderless cornflower blue dress for the world premiere of The Duchess in London's Leicester Square.
She was joined by co-star Ralph Fiennes, 45.
