Actor mourns his 'gangsta' gran

Leonardo DiCaprio will travel to Germany for the funeral

Leonardo DiCaprio is said to be devastated by the death of his grandmother.

Helene Indenbirken passed away at the age of 93 at a hospital in her native North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany.

Leonardo, 33, and his mother visited her in hospital just last week.

‘She is literally gangsta, and I mean that with an “a”,’ he said recently.

‘She will tell people exactly what she thinks to their face and look them in the eye.’

Leonardo is expected to return to Germany this week to attend a memorial service.
