Anthony Kiedis proposed to Debbie Harry when he was 8-years-old

Debbie Harry says Red Hot Chili Peppers frontman Anthony Kiedis asked for her hand in marriage.

But the Blondie star had to turn him down because he was only a child at the time.

'I don't know how many [proposals] I would count as being really serious,' she tells thelondonpaper.

'I did have one from Anthony [Keidis] from the Red Hot Chili Peppers when he was about 8! I treasure that.

'I had to let him down gently.'

Neither Debbie, 63, or Anthony, 45, are married.
