Actor says he's fighting pancreatic cancer

Patrick Swayze became an overnight sex symbol when he starred in Dirty Dancing

Patrick Swayze says he's had a miracle response to cancer treatment.

The Dirty Dancing star, 55, was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in January.

But the heartthrob was all smiles when he jetted out of an LA airport yesterday, and even gave paps the thumbs up.

'I am cookin',’ he told journalists. ‘I'm a miracle. I don't know why.'

News of Patrick’s condition first broke in March, and he was pictured looking gaunt after undergoing chemotherapy.

But he appears to have gained weight and is returning to work to play an FBI veteran in a new TV series.

‘My treatments are working and I am winning the battle,’ he said earlier this year.

‘I am juicing every day along with other treatments and all I can say is it's working really well.’
