Actress says she prefers her middle name

Selma Blair says she gets mistaken for Tom Cruise

Selma Blair isn't a big fan of her name.

The actress, 36, says she was put off it when she was teased as a child.

'In high school, when people found out my name was Selma they'd call me things like Smell-ma or Salmonella,' she tells the Daily Star.

'I still don't like my name. My middle name is James and I liked to be called that.'
