Madonna: I am not having an affair with Alex Rodriguez

Singer hits back at rumours she's involved with the baseball star

Madonna insists she and Guy Ritchie are not divorcing

Madonna has released a statement saying she's not romantically involved with New York Yankees baseball player Alex Rodriguez.

US sources claimed the Material Girl was at the centre of the breakdown of his marriage to Cynthia Rodriguez, 34.

His estranged wife is believed to have told pals her husband got close to Madonna since he joined the Kabbalah religion.

But Madge insists she’s not to blame.

'I am not romantically involved in any way with Alex Rodriguez,' she says.

'I have nothing to do with the state of his marriage or what spiritual path he may choose to study.'

Madonna is married to director Guy Ritchie, 39. They have son Rocco, 7, and adopted David Banda, 2. She also has daughter Lourdes, 11, from a previous relationship.

The pair put on a show of unity by visiting a Kabbalah centre in New York together over the weekend.
